Preformance wise the nissan will probably have more hp but who knows the RX8 is still in the final stages of development. I can tell u though that they are set to be released for June 2003 but the sad truth is that most dealers dont even know about them yet. We shall just have to wait and see what happens over the next few months with nissan and mazda press releases. I'm a Mazda guy myself and when I see the RX8 it makes me want to mount it like my last gf... N E ways I'm out I hope that that was partialy helpful... try checking out mazda.com and the the 35anual tokyo auto show. Theres some cool stuff in there. Lata *JAY*
