I have been lucky enough to have driven both cars and I mean really drive them. I live in SoCal and my buddy owns a car brokerage. I drove the new 350z roadster around after I was rear ended in my M3. The 350 was fun for sure. A friend of mine and me took it for a run on Molholland and it's a great track/sprint car. Over the two months I drove it the back end got away from me twice. It reminds me of the older Vettes - real stabby into a hard turn, if your tires are weak up front - have fun! Nice car though depending on the way you like to drive. The RX8 on the other hand reminds me more of my M3 - of coarse without the whopping acceleration. It takes the twistes much better then the Z and with a more predictable approach and exit. Grant it, it may be a little slower from the stand still but once you have the revves up it's gone. I race that six speed around all over the freeways and I smoke 350's all the time once we hit 40 - gone. Look for me passing you up in the lightening Yellow 8.
